Comic book style horror about a scientist, hideously
deformed after an explosion in his lab, who creates a synthetic substitute for skin which enables him to be a master of disguise and hunt the mobsters who caused the explosion which
caused his affliction.
Sam Raimi does a good job directing the rather meagre
budgetted movie, utilising the  comic book style to get away with cheap looking special effects. The performances and makeup are very well done though. A decent film for fans and
non-fans of the genre.
