An impeccably crafted political drama with superb
performances from it's ensemble, set in the smoky offices of 1950's journalism, when forthright broadcaster Edward R. Morrow (Strathairn) speaks out about the scaremongering, right wing
tactics of Senator Joseph McCarthy.
In the same mould as films like Quiz Show & JFK, it
really helps if you hold a little knowledge on the subject it presents, if not, it's a film which can be appreciated for its meticulous attention to detail and fine acting
performances.
