tragic, solemn and poignant drama buoyed with excellent performances by Ben Kingsley, Jennifer Connelly and Shohreh Aghdashloo. The story doesn't read as interesting as the movie presents it, as
Connelly's alcoholic divorcee finds her home repossessed and auctioned to Kingsley and his Iranian family and the domestic struggle between them. It's all incredibly dramatic though it would
probably work a little better as a stage play.
