Since Alien hit the screens in 1979, there have been plenty of
copycats, of which Life is just another in a long run. The comparisons are obvious, but Life isn't a bad movie by any stretch, despite playing fast and loose with the laws of
physics.
The story takes place aboard a space station, where a team of
scientists have just discovered life on Mars, and experiment with the jellyfish-like creature, which quickly becomes hostile and picks off the crew members one-by-one.
Although it is one big ripoff of arguably the best science
fiction-horror movies of all time, this film does have enough plot twists to provide an element of surprise.
