A unique, imaginative and brilliantly executed
animated fantasia from the mind of Tim Burton (serving as producer), although the credit should really go to the animation department who perfected stop-motion photography techniques
necessary for making this the seasonal classic it has become.
The story is a macabre twist on How The Grinch Stole
Christmas, given a real burst of originality by Danny Elfman's songs.
Maybe not for really young children, but a festive
treat for the family (whether it be for Halloween or Christmas).
