A masterpiece from the golden age of cinema when the power
of a film was owed to the on-screen drama, great performances, quality of direction and a fantastic screenplay.
The adaptation of Harper Lee's novel tells the story
almost entirely from the Finch children's point of view and both young actors portraying Scout & Jem do an excellent job. This is Gregory Peck's movie however, flawless as the
embodiment of Southern lawyer Atticus Finch.
Amongst the very best films of the
1960's.
