This Oscar winner for 1970's Best Documentary Feature is a
true time portal experience, trimming down three days of the famous concert's footage for a more bitesize three hours (a little more if you watch the director's cut).
The footage captures the hippy counterculture of summer 1969
as thousands of music lovers headed to the festival of love, where acts like Joan Baez, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Joni Mitchell and Jimi Hendrix were on the lineup.
Worth watching simply for the music.
